St. Valentine's Day!

I was pleasantly surprised this year with a request for a Valentine's arrangement by a loving husband for his wife. I was happy to oblige, and made two additional arrangements. Here they are:

Well, it's a little after the fact, but here are some pictures of the cottage fair. It was quite fun!

Here's my table. (From left to right) I had a carnation cupcake, a gift arrangement in a mug, a stand-up spiral bouquet, a slideshow of my work, and finally a centerpiece arrangement (below).

Cottage Fair

Happy Monday, every one!

I just wanted to let you know that FlowerTini will be represented this Saturday, August 21 at St. Barnabas' Cottage Industry/Craft Hobby Fair. It is from 9:30-12 in the Fellowship Hall at St. Barnabas. There's to be breakfast and gourmet coffee samplings, as well as pretty crafts and handy helps from many other booths. It promises to be a very fun morning!
I am hoping to bring a few new arrangements. Exact plans tbd, but I have some fun ideas milling around in this head of mine! I'll be sure to post pictures of the event later on.
Until then, enjoy some oldies but goodies!

This is an orchid corsage. Very simple and lovely.
(The green grass behind it is just for support)

Here is a palm tree arrangement created for a tropical event.

And here's a closeup of the arrangement at the base that uses Protea, gerberas, roses, chrysanthemums, and roses.

Until next time, much love!

Happy Tuesday!

Good day, everyone.
This morning was grey, and currently when I look out the window I see a disgusting layer of nasty smog hanging over the city. If I can't chase the sun to wherever he's hiding, where's the summer sunshine for the office-bound?

An arrangement like this is just the thing for ushering in a little cheer.

Designed for a lemony fresh summer wedding reception centerpiece, this arrangement would also make a lovely gift to cheer someone up or brighten a summer dinner party. It includes real lemons, dusty miller, white chrysanthemums, white aster, and craspedia (billy balls).

Have a lovely day!

To start, I decided to just give you three random pieces. (I apologize for the amateurish photography).

The first, here, is a beautiful cascade wedding bouquet in all white. It includes spray roses, mini carnations, and gardenias, and dendrobium orchids.

This second piece is designed in a ring so that something may be displayed in the center. An urn? A bottle of champagne? You decide! Or, leave the center empty and enjoy the depth of the design. It includes roses, tulips, kangaroo paw, bells of ireland, carnations, and snapdragon.

This third one is a little design I created to show off my liatris--the tall ones in the back--when I did a report on them for class. I love the idea of gifting flowers in a mug. You get to enjoy the design, and when you're finished, you have a lasting mug to enjoy! It also includes gerbera daisies, daisy mums, eucalyptus, and other greens.

Welcome!

Hello, All. Happy Day to you!
I've created this blog as a place to display my floral creations. Do enjoy!

Thanks for visiting!
